Al Ittihad and Al Nassr will battle for three points in a Saudi Pro League round 13 fixture on Friday (December 6th). The game will be played at King Abdullah Sports City.
The home side are coming into the game on the back of a 4-0 away win over Al Ettifaq last week. N'Golo Kante broke the deadlock in the 35th minute while Karim Benzema, Houssam Aouar and Steven Bergwijn scored second-half goals to complete the rout.
Al Nassr, meanwhile, fell to a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Al Sadd in the AFC Champions League Elite. They went behind to Akram Afif's 53rd-minute strike while Romain Saiss' 80th-minute own goal drew the game level. Adam Ounas scored the match-winner from the spot in the ninth minute of injury time.
The Big Yellow will shift their attention to the domestic scene where their last game saw them claim a 2-0 home win over Damac.
The victory left them in third spot in the table, having garnered 25 points from 13 games. Ittihad lead the way at the summit with 33 points to their name.
Al Ittihad currently hold a two-point advantage at the summit as they seek to reclaim the title from Al Hilal. Laurent Blanc's side do not have continental engagements this season and this could give them an edge.
Al Nassr, for their part, have had a poor campaign to this point and are eight points off the table-toppers. A defeat here could all but put paid to their title aspirations.
We are backing the home side to claim a narrow win with goals at both ends.
Prediction: Al Ittihad 2-1 Al Nassr
Tip 1 - Al Ittihad to win
Tip 2 - Both teams to score
Tip 3 - Over 2.5 goals
