Brisbane Roar and Melbourne City will battle for three points in an Australian A-League round seven fixture on Friday (December 6th). The game will be played at the Suncorp Stadium.
The home side are coming into the game on the back of a 4-4 draw away to Macarthur FC over the weekend. Thomas Waddingham scored a brace to put them 2-0 up by the 29th minute while Kealey Adamson pulled one back just before the break. Tomislav Uskok restored parity six minutes into the second half while Daniel Da Silva and Valere Germain scored further goals for the hosts. Dino Arslanagic and Uskok scored unfortunate own goals to help the visitors leave with a point.
Melbourne City, meanwhile, fell to a 2-0 defeat at home to Western Sydney Wanderers. Nicolas Milanovic and Marcus Antonsson scored in either half to inspire the win.
The defeat left the City Blues in fifth spot in the table, having garnered nine points from five games. Brisbane Roar are bottom of the standings with just one point to their name.
Brisbane Roar have been the worst side in the league so far and have yet to register their first win of the campaign.
Melbourne City, for their part, have a superior record in this fixture and will be looking to compound their hosts' misery. They were on the end of a thrashing on their last visit to this stadium and will be keen to avoid a repeat.
We are backing the visitors to claim a narrow win with goals at both ends.
Prediction: Brisbane Roar 1-2 Melbourne City
Tip 1 - Melbourne City to win
Tip 2 - Both teams to score
Tip 3 - Over 2.5 goals
