Hoffenheim vs RB Leipzig Prediction and Betting Tips | November 23rd 2024

Hoffenheim play host to RB Leipzig in round 11 of the German Bundesliga at the PreZero Arena on Saturday. Having failed to win the last six meetings between the sides, Christian Ilzer’s men will head into the weekend looking to get one over the visitors and pull clear of the danger zone.

Hoffenheim continue to struggle for results at the bottom end of the Bundesliga standings as they played out a goalless draw with Augsburg in their final outing before the international break.

Ilzer’s side have now failed to win five of their last six matches across all competitions — losing twice and claiming three draws — with a 2-1 victory over FC Nurnberg in the DFB Pokal on October 30 being the exception.

Hoffenheim have picked up just nine points from 10 matches to sit 15th in the Bundesliga standings, just one point above the bottom three.

Like the hosts, RB Leipzig failed to return to winning ways last time out as they were held to a goalless draw by Borussia Monchengladbach at the Red Bull Arena.

Before that, Marco Rose’s men suffered back-to-back defeats, falling to a 2-1 loss against Borussia Dortmund in the league on November 2, three days before losing 3-1 against Celtic in the UEFA Champions League.

For all their recent struggles, Leipzig currently sit second in the Bundesliga standings with 21 points from 10 games, five points behind first-placed Bayern Munich.
