Millwall host fifth-tier minnows Dag & Red at The Den on Monday for their clash in the third round of the FA Cup. The Lions come into the fixture on the back of a four-game winless run in all competitions, as their visitors are relishing the prospect of pulling off an upset.
It hasn't been a good season for Alex Neil's side domestically, winning only seven of their 25 games in the EFL Championship. They languish in 14th position in the league table with just 30 points in the bag.
Their last official win came on 21 December, when the South East London outfit beat Blackburn Rovers 1-0 in the league. Since then, they've drawn and lost twice each, alternatively.
In such a vulnerable state, Dag & Red will be tempted to pull off another scalp, having beaten two sides playing in higher leagues in the previous two rounds to get to this stage of the cup.
First, they beat Crewe Alexandra 1-0 on the road, courtesy of a late penalty from Dion Pereira. The Daggers then overcame AFC Wimbledon 2-1, with Joshua Rees popping up with a late winner on that occasion.
The home side are the favorites here, given their experience and the fact that they sit three leagues above their rivals. However, the Daggers aren't to be underestimated, as they've beaten two sides from higher leagues in the cup this season.
Millwall are a different kettle of fish, however, although the match could still be intense. We expect the EFL Championship side to eventually prevail.
Prediction: Millwall 2-1 Dag & Red
