The action continues in round 16 of the EFL Championship as Millwall and Sunderland lock horns at the Den on Saturday. The Lions head into the weekend on a run of three back-to-back home wins and will be looking to keep the juggernaut rolling.

Millwall were left red-faced in their final outing before the international break as they played out a 1-1 draw with Stoke City after conceding a second-half equalizer at the bet365 Stadium.

However, with that result, the Lions have gone seven straight games without defeat, picking up four wins and three draws since a 1-0 loss against Cardiff City on October 1.

Millwall have picked up 23 points from 15 matches to sit eighth in the Championship standings but could move into fifth place with all three points this weekend.

Sunderland, on the other hand, were involved in a share of the spoils for the third consecutive game as they played out a 1-1 draw with Coventry City at the Stadium of Light last time out.

The Black Cats are now unbeaten in eight consecutive matches, picking up four wins and four draws since a 2-1 defeat against Watford at Vicarage Road on September 28.

With 31 points from 15 matches, Sunderland currently lead the way at the top of the league standings, only above second-placed Sheffield United on goal difference.

That said, we predict both sides will cancel out each other’s efforts at the Den and settle for a share of the spoils.
