Barcelona ready to sell €60 million rated star in 2025: Reports

Hansi Flick's Barcelona are reportedly ready to sell Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong in the upcoming transfer windows, as per Fichajes.net. Frenkie de Jong has been on the transfer radar of top European clubs such as Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for a long time.

Frenkie de Jong's ongoing contract with La Blaugrana will expire in the summer of 2026. However, as per the aforementioned report, the LaLiga giants are looking forward to letting him go in 2025 due to the club's financial struggles and sporting priorities.

Hansi Flick's side would demand around €50 million for the Dutch midfielder from the potential suitors. La Blaugrana can later use the money to strengthen their squad, especially the frontline which is expected to witness the departure of Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres in 2025.

Frenkie de Jong joined Barcelona from Eredivisie giants Ajax in July 2019 for a reported transfer fee of €75 million. Since then, he has played 221 matches for the LaLiga giants, bagging 17 goals and 21 assists across all competitions. This season, the Dutchman has played eight matches for Hansi Flick's side, accumulating only 260 minutes on the ground.

As per a report by Fichajes.net, the likes of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Manchester United are interested in securing the services of the Dutch midfielder.

Barcelona are reportedly rethinking making an offer for LOSC Lille's Jonathan David due to his financial demands and uncertainty of performing on the top level, as per SPORT. La Blaugrana signed Inigo Martinez, Andreas Christensen X and Ilkay Gundogan on free transfers.

As a result, the La Liga giants were aiming to replicate the success by landing Jonathan David on a free transfer in Catalonia. Hansi Flick's side sees the Canadian forward as a long-term replacement for former Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski.

However, as per the aforementioned report, David's four-year deal would cost Barcelona €80 million. As a result, the La Liga giants are rethinking about making an offer for the Canadian forward. Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in signing David.

David joined Lille from KAA Gent in August 2020. Since then, he has made 202 appearances for LOSC Lille, bagging 97 goals and 20 assists across competitions.
