Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr are all set to exclude versatile Brazilian attacker Talisca from the squad list for the upcoming Saudi Pro League clash against Al Akhdoud, as per journalist Ali Alabdallh.
Talisca has been an important part of Stefano Pioli's side and the manager has taken this decision amid reports claiming Talisca leaving the Saudi Arabian outfit. The Brazilian, primarily an attacking midfielder, also can operate either as a centre forward or even from the wings.
In 19 appearances this season, he has registered eight goals so far. Out of these eight strikes, six have come in the Saudi Pro League and the rest in the AFC Champions League Elite. His presence in the lineup was crucial as Piolo recognized him as a vital cog of his contingent.
However, in the past few weeks, Cristiano Ronaldo's teammate has been heavily linked with Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce. Even the Fenerbahce Vice President confirmed that they are in contact with the former Besiktas player.
Legendary forward Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly committed his future to the Saudi Arabian outfit and there are no chances of him leaving the side in January.
Ronaldo, who signed for the Saudi Pro League side after the conclusion of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, is approaching the last few months of his contract. However, looking at the reports stating the Portuguese star's life at the club and country, it is easy to believe that the soon-to-turn 40-year-old will perhaps extend his stay in Asia and not make a move back to Europe.
Despite being a regular goal-getter for Stefano Piolo's side, Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to lift a major trophy for Al-Nassr. Currently, they are facing tough competition from Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.
The AFC Champions League Elite is also a competition Ronaldo will have his eyes on. Al-Nassr had never won the AFC Champions League. And now, with the AFC putting in a change in the structure of continental football, there is a golden opportunity in front of Cristiano Ronaldo & company to bag home a continental trophy.
