Fans have reacted with some hilarious comments on social media as Cristiano Ronaldo faced his former Real Madrid teammate Joselu.
The two former Los Blancos stars went up against each other in Al-Nassr's AFC Champions League Elite clash with Qatari club Al-Gharafa on Monday, November 25.
Ronaldo, a Real Madrid legend, featured for the club for nine years before leaving for Juventus in 2018. Joselu, meanwhile had two stints with the LaLiga giants. He first joined the club in 2009 from Celta Vigo, featuring more for the youth side and making only one appearance for the senior team before leaving for German outfit Hoffenheim in 2012.
In the summer of 2023, the Spaniard rejoined Real Madrid on a season-long loan from Espanyol. This time, he helped the club to a league and Champions League double, scoring 17 goals and creating three assists in 49 matches across competitions.
After a successful season, Real Madrid decided to sign Joselu permanently in the summer. However, the 34-year-old was eventually sold to Al-Gharafa.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Joselu shared the pitch just once at Real Madrid. Interestingly, it was Joselu's only league appearance during his first spell at Madrid. He came off the bench to score off a Ronaldo assist in an 8-1 thumping of Almeria during the 2010-2011 season.
