Noussair Mazraoui has opened up on his first impressions of new Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim. The former Sporting CP manager took charge of the Red Devils on November 11 and has already overseen his first game with the club.

Amorim started his tenure with the Premier League giants with a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town on Sunday, November 24, at Portman Road. Manchester United took the lead through Marcus Rashford (2'), only for Omari Hutchinson (43') to equalize for the East Anglian side.

Amorim's fabled 3-4-3 system was seen for the first time in the Premier League over the weekend. One of the players who caught the eye was Mazroaui, who operated as the right-center back.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Moroccan was full of praise for the Portuguese head coach.

"My first impressions are really good. His social skills are really good. He is, like, on point. Everyone understands what he says, like, directly," said Mazraoui.

Manchester United signed Mazraoui from Bayern Munich this summer for a reported fee of approximately £16m. The move has already looked like a bargain, with the Moroccan hitting the ground running at Old Trafford.

Mazraoui has operated as a right-back, left-back, center-back as well as an attacking midfielder, and has been one of the club's best players. The 27-year-old has already appeared 18 times across competitions for the Red Devils, 15 of which have been starts.

While Noussair Mazraoui has performed admirably at left-back this season, he is not a natural for the role. Luke Shaw returned to action from the bench against Ipswich Town, but his injury record doesn't make for a great read.

Manchester United also have Tyrell Malacia on their books, but the Dutchman hasn't played for a year and a half due to fitness issues as well. The situation has forced the Red Devils to consider reinforcement in 2025.

Recent reports have suggested that they have already drawn up a two-man shortlist for the job. The Premier League giants' preferred option for the position is Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies.

The 24-year-old is already in the final year of his contract with the Bavarians and could be available on a Bosman move in 2025. However, Real Madrid are the frontrunners in the race at the moment. Manchester United have reportedly identified AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez as a backup option if they miss out on the Canadian.
