Manchester United have reportedly been offered a chance to sign Juventus flop Douglas Luiz this month amid the uncertainty surrounding the future of Kobbie Mainoo. Academy graduate Mainoo is yet to sign a new contract with the Red Devils as he continues to consider his future with the club.

Manchester United are keen to pre-empt a move for 19-year-old Mainoo, who is on the radar of Chelsea, and are also in the market for midfield reinforcement. Mail Sport reports that Juventus have offered Brazil international Douglas Luiz to the Red Devils in a move that will see him immediately return to England.

Luiz left Aston Villa for Serie A giants Juventus in the summer, but a combination of injuries and a loss of form have restricted him to just two league starts for the Bianconeri. The central midfielder was pivotal to helping Aston Villa finish in a UEFA Champions League spot last season and still has several suitors in England.

Manchester United are aware of their personnel limitations in midfield, with the aging Casemiro attracting interest from Saudi Arabia this month. Christian Eriksen, also, is expected to leave the club once his contract is up in the summer. Ruben Amorim's side find themselves needing quality midfield cover, and a move for Luiz may be a no-brainer.

Former Manchester City man Douglas Luiz is attracting interest from several sides in England, including Fulham, Manchester City, and Nottingham Forest. The midfield maestro has seen that his reported €52 million switch to Juventus has not worked out and is open to moving elsewhere.

Manchester United star pens new contract at Old Trafford

Manchester United forward Amad Diallo has put pen to paper on a new five-and-a-half-year contract with the Premier League side. The 22-year-old will now remain on the books of the Red Devils until the end of the 2029-30 season due to his new deal.

Diallo was earmarked for an extension after emerging as an important player post-Erik ten Hag, playing in a variety of roles under Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ruben Amorim. The Ivory Coast international has shown that he can do it all, causing the club to scrap plans to trigger a one-year extension in favor of a completely new contract.

Amad Diallo has registered six goals and seven assists across all competitions for Manchester United this season and is one of their most productive attackers this campaign. Having joined the club in 2021 from Atalanta, Diallo has featured 50 times for them, with nine goals to his name.
