Manchester United are readying an offer of £50 million to sign Sporting CP prodigy Geovany Quenda, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola. The teenage sensation was a target for the Premier League giants this summer, before his former coach Ruben Amorim moved to Old Trafford, as per The Telegraph.

Amorim discovered Portugal U-21 international Quenda in the Sporting academy and handed him his professional debut at the start of the 2024-25 season. Since then, Quenda has made 19 appearances for the reigning Portuguese champions.

A Bola reports that Amorim is interested in a reunion with the prodigious talent, who has excelled at wing-back from the start of this season. The Red Devils are reportedly set to submit an offer of £50 million plus bonuses for Quenda.

Geovany Quenda's displays at the Estadio Jose Alvalade earned him a contract extension in September, tying him to the club until 2027. The teenager has a release clause of around £84 million, which Manchester United are not prepared to pay.

The Red Devils hope to have the Portuguese youngster on their books once he turns 18 next summer. They will keep a close eye on him, particularly as Sporting are set to face Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Geovany Quenda is seen as a player with a big future, as was evidenced by the decision of Portugal manager Roberto Martinez to hand him a senior call-up at 17. The youngster has scored two goals and provided two assists so far this season for Sporting.

Manchester United keen on January move for Premier League star

Manchester United are eyeing a move for Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku in the January transfer window, as per Fichajes.net. The France international has emerged as a priority target for Ruben Amorim's side amid his struggle for meaningful minutes this season.

Nkunku has more than proven his quality in front of goal, winning the Bundesliga's top scorer award in the 2022-23 season at RB Leipzig. The 27-year-old has scored 10 goals for the Blues this season, most of which came against weaker opposition in the cup competitions.

Manchester United are set to offer the former PSG man a route out of Chelsea, where he is a backup to Nicolas Jackson, in January. The Red Devils may offer a loan move for Nkunku, with an option or obligation to make the move permanent in the summer.
