Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has spoken about his side's title aspirations this season after they picked up another win on Boxing Day. The Reds were 3-1 winners over Leicester City, moving seven points clear at the summit of the standings despite having played a game less than Chelsea in second.

Dutch coach Arne Slot took over at Anfield in the summer after Jürgen Klopp left the club following a nine-year stint. The former Feyenoord coach has seen his side perform impressively since then, with 32-year-old Salah their crown jewel in this campaign.

Mohamed Salah has only lifted one Premier League title, in 2020, since his arrival at Anfield in 2017 and is excited at the prospect of winning the title once more. Salah scored his 100th home league goal for the Reds to round off the scoring in the second half after an utterly dominant showing against Ruud van Nistelrooy's team. Liverpool have now amassed 42 points this season from the opening 17 games, losing just once and winning 13 times.

Four minutes into the second half, Curtis Jones slotted home on his 100th league appearance for the Reds to give them the lead. Not to be left out, Mohamed Salah fired home his 16th goal of the campaign with a curling effort from inside
