Ruben Amorim has opened up on Marcus Rashford's future ahead of Manchester United's FA Cup third-round tie against Arsenal. The Red Devils will travel to the Emirates to take on Mikel Arteta's side on Sunday, January 12.

In his pre-match press conference, the Portuguese tactician was asked about Marcus Rashford's future at the club. The 27-year-old has gone down the pecking order at Old Trafford following Amorim's arrival.

Rashford has not featured for Manchester United since being dropped from the matchday squad in the Manchester Derby on December 15. He was not named in the matchday squad for four successive games before returning to the bench in a 2-0 loss against Newcastle United.

The left winger was an unused sub against the Magpies and then missed the Red Devils' trip to Anfield with illness. Quite naturally, the England international has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this month.

In his pre-match press conference ahead of the Arsenal game, Amorim refused to share much on Rashford's future. He said, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News:

"We will see, guys. We need to focus on the next game."

Rashford has been a key player for Manchester United since making his first-team debut as a teenager in 2015. He has made 426 appearances for the club till date, contributing with 138 goals and 63 assists.

The Englishman enjoyed the best season of his career in 2022-23, scoring 30 goals and providing nine assists in 56 appearances across competitions. However, he has not quite been able to sustain such goalscoring form since.

Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer Marcus Rashford in a swap deal to sign Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Georgia international has been heavily linked with a January move away from Napoli with several clubs said to be interested in his signature.

The Red Devils are looking to take advantage of Kvaratskhelia's situation and are ready to offer Rashford in return to land the 23-year-old, as per L'Equipe. Kvaratskhelia has been exceptional for the Naples club since moving to the Serie A giants in 2022 from Dinamo Batumi.

Kvaratskhelia played a pivotal role to help Napoli win their first Serie A title since 1989-90 in his debut season at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. He was named the league's Most Valuable Player in 2022-23 for his sensational display in Napoli colors.
