Former Real Madrid winger Savio Bortolini has offered a piece of advice to Endrick amid his lack of playing minutes at the Santiago Bernabéu. Savio urged the young forward to stay mentally strong, work hard and remain patient.

Sávio, who experienced the pressures of moving to a European heavyweight like Real Madrid at a young age, drew from his own experience to provide guidance to his 18-year-old compatriot.

He highlighted the importance of mental resilience as Endrick navigates the highs and lows of professional football at one of the world’s most demanding clubs. Savio told Relevo:

“Things started very early with him,” Sávio remarked, addressing Endrick’s meteoric rise and subsequent challenges since joining Real Madrid.
“He has to pay a lot of attention so that the emotional part doesn't affect him. He's going to have moments of ups and downs; that happened to me. You have to keep a cool head, strong. If not... it's complicated.”

The former winger, who dazzled for Real Madrid during the late 1990s and early 2000s, acknowledged Endrick’s immense potential but emphasised the significance of nurturing his mindset alongside his technical abilities.

“Endrick has enormous potential. He has a lot of technical quality, strength, speed, and goalscoring. He has to be calm, work, work and work. The mental part is basic, fundamental,” Sávio continued.

Endrick, regarded as one of Brazil's brightest prospects, made headlines when Real Madrid secured his signature from Palmeiras.

However, since arriving at the Bernabeu, the teenager has had limited opportunities, sparking debates about how the club should handle his development. He has started just once in 15 appearances across competitions.

‘’Playing at the Bernabeu is going to be crazy’’ – When Endrick expressed delight over joining Real Madrid

Endrick arrived at Real Madrid for a reported fee of €47.5 million from Palmeiras in July 2024. Los Blancos had reached an agreement to sign the Brazilian in 2022, but he couldn’t join the Spanish giants, as FIFA’s transfer laws prohibit minors from playing abroad before turning 18..

After he was unveiled as the club’s player, Endrick had expressed his excitement to Realmadrid TV.

"I'm so happy to be in Madrid and to have been to the Bernabéu. I played here once, but not as a Real Madrid player. I'm delighted to have met the fans, and I hope I can play here for many years to come. It was always my childhood dream, and now it's coming true.
“I started to learn about the history of Real Madrid when I first saw Cristiano Ronaldo play here. Then I saw all their Champions League wins, all the legendary players who have been at Real Madrid, the Brazilians who have spent time here. … I dreamed of playing here one day, ever since I was a kid. I'm overjoyed, and playing at the Bernabéu is going to be crazy."

Endrick has scored twice and provided one assist for Madrid across competitions this season.
