Arsenal keeping tabs on 26-year-old Serie A star linked with Real Madrid: Reports
Arsenal are presently monitoring AC Milan's Tijjani Reijnders, according to a report by Fichajes.net. It was earlier reported that Real Madrid are also interested in signing the Dutchman.
Since joining AC Milan in July 2023, Reijnders has proved to be an outstanding midfielder. He has scored four goals and registered three assists in 14 games across all competitions this season.
As a result, the likes of Madrid and Arsenal are presently leading the race to sign the Dutchman.
Reijnders is primarily a central midfielder, but he could also feature as a defensive and attacking midfielder. His versatility could be the prime reason the Gunners are looking to sign him.
A brief overview of Arsenal's midfield options indicates that Mikel Merino is the only natural central midfielder in the squad. Mikel Arteta could also be looking to improve the number of options in the central midfield position by signing Reijnders.
If signed, his versatility and attacking proficiency could stand to be beneficial for the Gunners.
