Eintracht Frankfurt chief Markus Krosche has opened up on reports linking Manchester City to Omar Marmoush. The Egyptian forward has been in a golden run of form with the Bundesliga side of late.

This season, Marmoush has registered 18 goals and 12 assists from 24 games across competitions. His efforts have turned heads at multiple clubs across the continent.

The reigning Premier League champions have also been named as his suitors. The Cityzens are struggling of late and are currently sixth in the league table after 20 games.

Manchester City have lost six games already in the league and are 12 points behind current leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand. Reinforcements are in order to address the situation and Pep Guardiola has apparently identified the frontline as an area that needs improvements.

The English champions lost Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid last summer and opted against signing a replacement. That decision has come back to haunt them, with the club missing Alvarez's goals amid Erling Haaland's mixed form this season.

Sky Deutschland have recently stated that the Cityzens have their eyes on Marmoush and are planning a €60m move for the Egyptian this month. However, Krosche has now rubbished those claims.

Speaking recently, as cited by Tribal Football, the Eintracht Frankfurt CEO has insisted that they haven't heard from Manchester City.

"There has been no contact, no call. Nothing at all," said Krosche.

Marmoush's contract with the Bundesliga side runs until 2027.

Manchester City have scored 36 goals in 20 games in the Premier League this season. The Cityzens have also registered 13 goals in six games in the Champions League, where they are 22nd in the table.

Pep Guardiola's team have scored 53 goals from 29 games across competitions this season. Erling Haaland has found the back of the net 21 times in 27 games so far and is the club's top scorer this campaign. Second on the list, interestingly, is Phil Foden with just five goals.

Manchester City have struggled to cope with Rodri's injury this campaign. The 2024 Ballon d'Or winner has been an integral part of the starting XI in recent years.

However, the Spaniard is out for the rest of the season after picking up an ACL injury in September last year. Since he was sidelined, the Cityzens have lost nine of their 22 games, winning 11.
