Liverpool, among other interested parties in Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane, have been reportedly handed a boost in his pursuit. The Bavarian giants are said to be open to parting ways with the winger for £20-25 million in the ongoing January transfer window.

As per Football Insider, Bayern are prepared to accept offers in the region of £20 million if they fail to tie Sane down to a longer contract. The Germany international's deal with the Bundesliga side expires this summer and he is now free to agree on a pre-contract with another club.

The report claims that Bayern Munich are eager to keep hold of Sane as they fight for trophies on multiple fronts. However, in case they fail to extend the winger's contract and a suitable offer arrives in the January window, they will not stand in his way.

Apart from Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are also said to be interested in Sane, who has previous experience of playing in the Premier League.

The attacker spent four seasons with City before moving to Munich. In 135 appearances for the Cityzens, Sane scored 39 and assisted 43 goals. He won two Premier League titles, among other honors, with the Manchester-based club.

Leroy Sane on potential return to the Premier League amid links with Liverpool

Leroy Sane, during an interview in November 2024, addressed the rumors that linked him with a return to the Premier League. He admitted to still having 'fondness' for the English top-flight, telling SportBild (via GOAL):

"I have a fondness for the league, I still watch certain games on TV. But the appeal for me lies in the club where I can show my best performance, develop and win titles. I have that at FC Bayern. This is where I have my biggest challenge and goals."

The German attacker played 90 Premier League matches for City, scoring 25 and assisting 29 goals in the process.
