Real Madrid are reportedly ready to break the bank to sign Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane to compete with Kylian Mbappe for a spot. As reported by Spanish outlet Fichajes.net, Los Blancos have reignited their long-term interest in the England international.

Kylian Mbappe has not been able to live up to the expectations following his move to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer. The Frenchman, regarded as one of the best players on the planet, is seemingly struggling in the number nine role.

Mbappe's underwhelming form has also coincided with Real Madrid's struggles on the pitch as they look nowhere near the levels they were at last campaign. The Spanish capital club, who won both La Liga and Champions League last season, are third and 18th in the respective competitions at the moment.

Mbappe has only been able to find the back of the net on eight occasions in 16 appearances across competitions while producing two assists. It is understood that Real Madrid are looking to sign a pure striker to lead their attack and have their eyes on Kane.

Kane ended his 19-year association with Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 to join Bayern Munich in a deal worth reported £103 million. The England skipper has been on fire for the Bavarian giants but he is yet to win a single trophy in his entire career.

Aged 31, Kane is still pretty much at his peak and has already bagged three hat-tricks this season. He has 20 goals and nine assists in 17 appearances across competitions for Vincent Kompany's side this campaign.

Real Madrid identify their next interim manager if they decide to sack Carlo Ancelotti: Reports

Real Madrid have reportedly identified Santiago Solari as the interim manager if they decide to axe Carlo Ancelotti. As per Relevo via Madrid Xtra on X (formerly Twitter), Los Blancos want the Argentine to replace Ancelotti if the Italian fails to turn around the club's fortunes soon.

While Ancelotti has been immensely successful during his two stints at the Santiago Bernabeu, things have not gone his way this season. They have lost two of their four matches in the Champions League while losing one and drawing three out of 12 in La Liga.

It has been claimed that Ancelotti's time at the Bernabeu could be nearing an end if Real Madrid do not show signs of improvement soon. Santiago Solari has been identified as the man to replace Ancelotti on a temporary basis.

Solari started his coaching career in 2013 and has been associated with Real Madrid in various capacities over the years. He formerly worked as the interim manager of the club in 2018-19 after Julen Lopetegui's axing. Solari managed them a total of 32 times, winning 22 games, drawing two and losing eight.
