Real Madrid are reportedly set to face competition from AC Milan in order to acquire Mario Gila's signature next summer. The 24-year-old centre-back is currently playing for Serie A club Lazio and his contract is valid until the summer of 2027.

Mario Gila has reportedly attracted attention from several top clubs. His consistently impressive performances for Lazio have helped him solidify a regular spot in Marco Baroni's squad.

Even though he missed three Serie A matches early in the season due to a hamstring injury, the Spanish defender has started in all 14 league games since his recovery. He has helped maintain six clean sheets and registered a goal in 19 appearances across competitions for the Italian side this season

Mario Gila's development and reported demand from other prominent clubs are also marked by the increase in his market value. His estimate has gone from €18 million to €28 million, making him the most valuable Spaniard in Italian football, as per Transfermarkt.

While the LaLiga giants have been heavily linked with a potential move for one of their academy graduates, La Lazio Siamo Noi has now reported that AC Milan are also in the race to sign Gila.

AC Milan's reported interest in Mario Gila comes amid the uncertainty over the futures of Fikayo Tomori and Malick Thiaw. The Rossoneri defenders are reportedly being pursued by Premier League clubs.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, are reportedly keen on bringing Gila to Santiago Bernabéu amid injury woes in their defense line this season. Los Blancos currently have centre-backs David Alaba and Éder Militão out of the pitch with cruciate ligament tears. This makes the Lazio star a great potential addition to Carlo Ancelotti's squad.

After graduating from Real Madrid academy in 2019, Mario Gila started his senior career with their reserve team. He joined Lazio for a reported fee of €6m in July 2022. He has contributed 21 clean sheets in 60 appearances across competitions for the Serie A club so far.

Real Madrid reportedly keen on signing Atalanta midfielder amid interest from Manchester United

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Atalanta BC midfielder Ederson, as per Real Madrid Confidencial (via Madrid Universal). The Brazilian has turned heads with his performances this season, becoming a key player in the Serie A club's midfield.

With Toni Kroos' retirement earlier this year and Luka Modric's advancing age (39), Ederson can become a long-term replacement in Los Blancos' midfield line. Manchester United, meanwhile, will be looking to further strengthen their squad, making the Atalanta star a great potential signing.

Even though Éderson is estimated at €50 million, as per Transfermarkt, Atalanta are reportedly set to ask for at least €70 million from clubs interested in acquiring his signature. He has recorded two goals and one assist in 23 appearances across competitions for the Italian club in the ongoing campaign.

With Real Madrid and Manchester United's reported interest in Éderson, it remains to be seen where he ends up in the future. The 25-year-old's current contract at the Serie A club is valid until the summer of 2027.
