Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly rejected the chance to sign Manchester United star Marcus Rashford in the winter transfer window. The Red Devils are keen on selling the forward in January.

Marcus Rashford is a product of the Manchester United youth academy and made his senior debut in February 2016 in a 3-2 win over Arsenal in the Premier League. In his early years, the Englishman was considered one of the most promising young talents owing to his pace and versatility. Rashford has contributed 138 goals and 63 assists in 426 outings for the Red Devils across competitions.

However, the England international has been sidelined at the Old Trafford following the arrival of new manager Ruben Amorim. He has played 1,500 minutes in 24 outings for the Red Devils, recording seven goals and three assists across competitions this season.

According to The Sun, Manchester United had offered Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntulli the chance to sign Marcus Rashford this week. However, Giuntulli has declined the proposal to sign him both permanently and on a loan deal.

The aforementioned report further suggests that Juventus are instead interested in signing another Red Devils star, Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutchman signed for the Red Devils in the summer of 2024 from Bologna. However, the club's higher-ups are not keen on parting ways with Zirkzee as of now.

According to a report by journalist Fabrizio Romano (via SPORT), Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is keen on joining LaLiga giants Barcelona this season. The Englishman is reportedly prioritizing a move to LaLiga if he leaves the Red Devils and believes his style of play could fit well with the Catalan club.

United are open to selling Rashford for less than €40 million. However, the forward earns a reported €17 million salary at his boyhood side - a figure Barcelona cannot afford owing to their well-documented financial woes.

The aforementioned report claims that Rashford will have to reduce his salary by half to join Barcelona in January, which seems unlikely. The 27-year-old has also been linked to clubs like Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Saudi Pro League clubs, as they can afford his high wages.

Marcus Rashford could be a useful signing for Barcelona as the club has been looking to sign a left winger for a while. However, the Catalan giants are unlikely to be able to make a move owing to their poor financial condition.
