Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly in the fray for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush. The 25-year-old has been at the Deutsche Bank Park since arriving last summer on a free transfer.

Marmoush has had a rousing start to the current season, contributing 14 goals and 10 assists in 17 games across competitions. That includes 11 goals and seven assists in 11 outings in the Bundesliga, where Dino Toppmoller's side are second, six points behind Bayern Munich.

The Egyptian has also struck twice in four games in the UEFA Europa League and once in the DFB-Pokal. Despite being contracted with Eintracht till 2027, Marmoush has been the subject of interest of top clubs from around the continent, especially the aforementioned Premier League giants.

As per Sky Germany (via GOAL), the Red Devils have set their sight on signing Marmoush when the transfer window reopens in January. However, Liverpool are set to provide stiff competition to their domestic rivals for the services of the Egyptian, who's valued by Eintracht at €60 million.

Ruben Amorim started his reign as the new Manchester United boss with a 1-1 Premier League draw at newly promoted Ipswich Town. After Marcus Rashford had fired the Red Devils into an early lead, United conceded before half-time as a share of the spoils ensued.

The result meant that United are 13th in the standings with 16 points from 12 games, winning four. They are unbeaten in three league outings, winning one. Amorim's side are next in action in the UEFA Europa League in midweek as they host Bodo/Glimt on Thursday (November 28).

Meanwhile, Liverpool are off to an impressive start to life under new boss Arne Slot, who replaced the legendary Jurgen Klopp in the summer. Slot's side are eight points clear atop the Premier League, winning 10 of 12 games.

Coming off a come-from-behind 3-2 league win at Southampton over the weekend, the Reds entertain holders Real Madrid in a marquee UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday (November 27). Slot's side are the only team in the 36-team field to win their opening four games.

Liverpool then take on four-time defending champions Manchester City - who have lost their last five games across competitions - four days later in a 1-vs-2 Premier League battle.
