Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015) is a fun movie that brings back all the beloved characters from Hotel Transylvania (2012). Directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, it takes place several years after the events of its predecessor. In this installment, Drac is determined to ensure his grandson, Dennis, gains vampire powers before Mavis can put her plan of relocating her family to Johnny's hometown into action.

1) Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995)
Hotel Transylvania 2, like the other films in the franchise, introduces the well-known character of Dracula in a different light. The same is the case with this movie by Mel Brooks.
Leslie Nielsen stars as Count Dracula who travels to England with the help of his new slave, Renfield, portrayed by Peter MacNicol. He sets his sights on Amy Yasbeck's Mina after meeting her at an opera house. When he proceeds to drink the blood of her friend Lucy (Lysette Anthony), she becomes pale. Mina's father then calls on Professor Van Helsing (Brooks) to find the problem.

3) What We Do in the Shadows (2014)

Shot in the style of a mockumentary, it follows the lives of four housemates, Viago, Vladislav, Deacon, and Petyr, who are all vampires. In addition to Clement and Waititi, it also stars Jonathan Brugh and Ben Fransham in the lead.
Fans would agree that there is never a dull day at Drac's hotel in Hotel Transylvania 2 and the same can be said about the flat in Wellington which witnesses regular clashes between the four temperamental flatmates. This movie isn't meant to be cinematic or impactful. It promises one thing - a fun time, and it certainly delivers the laughs from start to finish.

4) Monster Family (2017)
Even though Hotel Transylvania 2 is meant to be a comedy, it still manages to share meaningful messages about love and family. Monster Family by Holger Tappe also does the same.
Emily Watson voices the character of Emma Wishbone who is struggling to get her family to see eye-to-eye with one another. But the complications start to escalate when a witch's curse turns them into monsters. They have to figure out a way to work together and turn themselves back into humans.
This entertaining animated film shares poignant messages about the importance of family and how it is possible to overcome difficult problems by sticking together. The premise is nothing out of the ordinary but the endearing characters and witty humor combine to create an engaging experience that is fun for viewers of all ages.

Tony, a 13-year-old boy voiced by Amy Saville, is obsessed with vampires. During a holiday, he just so happens to meet one who is the same age as him. And so, Mavis along with Drac, Johnny, Dennis, Vlad, and other hotel guests board a cruise ship named Legacy. As Drac has been feeling particularly lonely in the months leading up to the cruise, he cannot help but fall for the charismatic captain, Ericka. But he doesn't know that she has a secret agenda.
Like Hotel Transylvania 2, this movie has plenty of humor and monster chaos that fans of the franchise have come to expect and appreciate. As always, the storyline is fun while also sharing relevant messages about celebrating differences.

Directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, this movie is based on cartoon characters created by Charles Addams. It follows the eccentric Addams family as they move into a suburb in New Jersey. They don't really mingle with the other people in the neighborhood but things change when their older child, Wednesday, becomes friends with the daughter of a reality show host.
The narrative of this funny animated movie, like Hotel Transylvania 2, carries messages of togetherness and family bonding. Even though the cartoon has been around for quite some time now, the movie does a good job of re-introducing the characters so that new fans can feel connected to them. It is chaotic, exciting, funny and heartwarming at the same time.
