My Fault begins with Noah and her mother, Rafaella, moving into a mansion following the latter's marriage to the wealthy William Leister. Soon, Noah meets the handsome Nick Leister, William's only son and her step-brother. While he is studying to be a lawyer, Nick enjoys surfing, racing, and partying in his free time.

The two immediately engage in conflicts due to their clashing personalities. When Nick offers Noah a ride in his car, the two get into an argument, prompting Nick to drop her in the middle of the road. Mario, Nick's friend, comes to Noah's rescue and drives her back to Nick's party, where she furiously confronts him.

Noah becomes friends with Jenna and her boyfriend, Lion, at the party. As Noah and Nick's lives collide, they discover many common interests, like their shared love for racing. Some time later, Noah watches Nick compete at a racing competition, where he ends up losing his Porsche and €15,000 to his rival, Ronnie.

The two gradually feel attracted to each other, despite their many differences. Unable to control his feelings, Nick professes his love by kissing Noah. The two begin dating, but break up soon after, fearing their parents' objections.

By the end of My Fault, Noah resumes her relationship with Nick, much to her mother's dismay. But, Rafaella is determined to put an end to Nick and Noah's budding romance.
