Everything to know about The Front Room

The Front Room is an intense psychological horror that delves into familial struggles and the terror of living with a domineering presence. The movie introduces Belinda, an anthropology professor who is pregnant and dealing with personal losses and problems at work.

Her life goes downhill when Norman, her husband, lets his sick stepmother Solange stay with them in exchange for a large inheritance. Belinda and Norman's decision to host Solange introduces chaos. Solange, a fervently religious woman, occupies the front room, initially intended as a nursery.

The couple's patience is put to the test by her seemingly oppressive behavior, which is characterized by racial and religious microaggressions. Belinda's world begins to crumble as her actions become more intrusive, including attempts to rename their unborn child.
