Gerard Gravano appears in the new true crime documentary Sons of Ecstasy, which was released on Max on January 9, 2025. The documentary was directed by Julian P. Hobbs and Elli Hakami and produced for Investigation Discovery by Talos Films.
Gerard Gravano is the son of former notorious hitman Sammy "The Bull" Gravano, who was associated with the Gambino crime family. Both Sammy and Gerard Gravano were involved in the ecstasy drug trade during the 90s. They were sentenced for their crimes.
However, both of them have parted from unlawful lives and are living as law-abiding citizens. Gerard Gravano is now a family man who operates a local business in Arizona.
The son of the infamous Sammy "The Bull" Gravano was also involved in the criminal activities of the Gambino family from an early age. However, through his connection with the local gang named Devil Dogs, he got into the ecstasy business in the 1990s.
Gerard and Sammy had a complicated relationship and according to The Cinemaholic, Sammy even wanted to kill Gerard's then-partner, for boasting about dating his son.
However, both Sammy and Gerard, along with 40 others were arrested for running a drug ring in Arizona in February 2000. Gerard, who was 24 at the time, pleaded guilty and spent nine years in prison.
Before getting involved in the drug trade, Gerard used to work in his family’s bakery and bagel shop. He studied the culinary arts at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute Of America (SCI) and was employed at the Scottsdale Princess Hotel and Resort.
He later joined Los Ventanas restaurant before opening his Italian restaurant called Uncle Sal’s in 1997.
Since his release, he has settled in Arizona. In 2009, he became the owner of the Crust Restaurants Phoenix Convention Center.
He started dating his current wife Amy Lynn Price Gravano in 2011 and the two got married in 2018. He was involved in KGG Management and Credit One LLC, both of which are inactive now.
He now operates a local business called Impact Payment Options and lives with his wife and two children. He also seems to have reconciled with his father and they often appear on social media together.
Sons of Ecstasy will explore the world of the ecstasy trade that defined Arizona's underground scene during the 90s. The main players involved in the trade were Gerard Gravano and his father Salvatore Gravano, who will both appear on camera to tell their version of the story.
The documentary film will also explore the rivalry between a charismatic English stockbroker turned drug dealer, Shaun Attwood, and Gerard Gravano.
Apart from Gerard, Sammy, and Attwood, Karen Gravano and Jim Cope will also be appearing in the documentary. The film is produced by Talos Films in association with Investigation Discovery.
Here's how the platform describes the documentary:
