Synopsis of Without a Paddle

After Billy dies in a parasailing accident 12 years after high school, Jerry, Dan, and Tom reunite. At Billy's funeral, they find a map of D.B. Cooper's treasure in their old treehouse. Inspired by Billy's lifelong research on the treasure, the three friends decide to go camping in search of it.

The trio faces obstacles while canoeing down the river. They fish for food but attract a grizzly bear. Following their narrow escape, they lose their way, missing a river fork and crashing over a waterfall.

After being mistaken for thieves at a pot farm, they get into trouble with two aggressive farmers. Fortunately, Flower and Butterfly, two hippie girls, help them escape the farmers. Del Knox, a mountain man, rescues them and reveals he is Cooper's partner.

Eventually, the trio discovers Cooper’s crash site, where they uncover his skeleton and a suitcase with burnt ransom money. After escaping the farmers, they return home with $100,000 from the treasure, forever changing their lives.
