Barbie Music Series Aaliyah Doll design and other details

The product was launched to celebrate the artist's impact on the music industry alongside her life and legacy. The description of the doll on the website also reads that her vocals contributed to the popularity of R&B music and her influence can be felt until today.

"Our tribute to "Babygirl's" life and sound will take any collection to the top of the charts."

Aaliyah lost her life in a plane crash that happened in the Bahamas in 2001 and she was accompanied by her hairdresser, bodyguard, and record executive, as per People magazine's August 2024 report.

Notably, the new doll's outer design is inspired by the All That star's outfit worn by her in the album, One in a Million, which helped her to accumulate a huge fanbase when she was active in the music industry. The doll can be spotted wearing a crop top and oversized pants. While Carlyle Nuera is credited as the doll designer.

While the doll has been reportedly sold out, Mattel Creations has yet to share an update on when the new stocks would be available.
