Culpa Tuya is the sequel to this popular Nicole Wallace movie. Also known as Culpa Mía, it marked Domingo González's directorial feature-length debut. The characters of Nick and Noah are first introduced in this romance movie. When Noah's mom, Rafaela gets married, they move into her husband's home where she meets her new step-brother, Nick.

In terms of personality, Noah and Nick are very different people which makes it difficult for them to get along at first. But there is an underlying tension that they can't seem to escape. Eventually, they end up pursuing a forbidden romance when they are unable to deny their mutual attraction.

Although this romance movie suffers from some clichés of its genre, it is still an entertaining watch because of Nicole Wallace and Gabriel Guevara. As Noah and Nick, they are able to capture the butterflies in the stomach feeling of falling in love and how it is okay to be vulnerable in front of the right person. Romantics will be hooked to the scenes wherein Noah and Nick engage in playful banter.
