Prime Video has revealed that Invincible Season 3 will debut on the streamer on February 6, 2025. On October 15, 2024, the season 3 trailer for Invincible was posted to Prime Video's YouTube channel, and fans have already responded positively to it.

As confirmed in the trailer, Invincible season 3 will not have a mid-season break. New episodes of the show will arrive every Thursday on Prime Video starting February 6, 2025. Season 3 will have an 8-episode long run, concluding on March 13, 2025.

The animation series Invincible is created by Robert Kirkman, which is based on the comic book of the same name, created by Kirkman, Ryan Ottley, and Cory Walker. The synopsis of the show reads:

"Mark Grayson, 17, is just like every other guy his age—except that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man; as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers his father's legacy may not be as heroic as it seems."

Is Invincible season 3 deviating from its conventional release style?

When season 2 of Invincible premiered, after airing 4 episodes the show went on a fall break from November 24, 2023. The show resumed with the second half of the same season on March 14, 2024, and concluded with its season finale on April 4, 2024.

When season 2 of this show was airing, Amazon renewed Invincible for 2 more seasons. This also prompted showrunner Robert Kirkman to announce that the team will be working on both seasons back to back. As the show poses a huge challenge to have immaculate animation, storytelling, and voice acting, the showrunner did not want the fans to wait 2 more years in between seasons.

Hence, Prime Video announcing that there will be no mid-season break in the Invincible season 3 trailer, keeps Kirkman’s promise to the fans.

What does the Invincible season 3 trailer hint at?

The season 3 trailer for Invincible arrived on October 15, 2024. In the trailer, viewers are shown that Mark Grayson, or Invincible, voiced by Steven Yeun, is talking to Cecil, voiced by Walton Goggins, in a cafe, giving a recap of season 2.

Cecil asks Mark about what he is going to do, as there are only 8 billion people counting on him to save them from annihilation. The behind-the-scenes production of Invincible season 3 flashes soon, showing Steven Yeun's voice acting and the concept art for the new blue-black suit from the comics. The trailer also touches upon some of the scenes from the upcoming season.

At the end of the 2-minute, 33-second teaser, Cecil asks Mark what he plans to do as the Viltrumites invade Earth and challenge Invincible.

The teaser then cuts to a white screen showing the Invincible title screen, which reveals to the viewers the release date, i.e., February 6, 2025, and also gives the news that there will be no mid-season break. This is a shift from the traditional release schedule of the second season, where the show was divided into two halves.

Invincible Season 3 promises further conflicts with Conquests, Emperor Thragg, and Annisa. It is also likely that there will be a focus on Atom Eve and the Invincible romantic arc. All in all, fans of the show can expect all the blood and gore with the traditional Invincible humor mixed in it.

Invincible seasons 1-2 and Invincible: Atom Eve are available to stream on Prime Video.
