The story of the novel The Housemaid
Millie is a newly released prisoner in Freida McFadden's novel, The Housemaid who is trying to rebuild her life. She agrees to work for Nina and Andrew Winchester in a fancy mansion.
Andrew seems nice and charming, but Nina is unstable, controlling, and hurtful to Andrew's feelings. Millie has to deal with Nina's unpredictable behavior, and she learns about Nina's troubled past, which includes her time in a mental hospital.
Millie's interactions with Andrew change from work-related to personal, leading to an affair that changes the way the family functions. When Millie finds out that Andrew is cruel and manipulative, the story takes a sharp turn.
Millie fights back while she is locked in the attic, using her creativity and a secret key to stay alive. Nina's carefully thought-out plan to leave her abusive marriage is revealed in the climax, leaving Millie to face her demons.

Born in Spokane, Washington, on September 12, 1997, Sydney Sweeney is an American actor known for her diverse and captivating roles. She started acting by guest-starring in 90210, Criminal Minds, and Pretty Little Liars. Netflix's Everything Sucks! and HBO's Sharp Objects were two significant works in her career in 2018. That year, she was recognized for playing Eden in The Handmaid's Tale.
Sweeney portrayed Cassie Howard in HBO's Euphoria and received an Emmy nomination in 2022 for her performance in The White Lotus.
