Invincible season 3 release date is confirmed and there's something extra to celebrate
Fans won't have to wait too long for Invincible season 3, as Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that the show will be released in the first quarter of 2026. In a new teaser posted online where Mark Grayson and Cecil Stedman can be seen having a conversation, it was revealed that season 3 of the hit animated series will premiere on February 6, 2026.
The teaser for Invincible season 3 sees Mark in a burger shack enjoying some food before he is interrupted by Cecil, who asks him what he has been up to. He then pressures him to start training, as Viltrumites have currently threatened Earth and he needs to prepare for it. However, Mark feels lazy and isn't exactly up to the task yet.
Alongside that, it was also confirmed that Invincible season 3 won't be having a mid-season break. Given that season 2 had a mid-season break with it being a wait of many months between the two halves, fans will definitely appreciate this as that decision resulted in Prime Video receiving backlash online. It was also revealed that Mark will be getting his blue suit from the comics in the season too.
What happened at the end of Invincible season 2?
Season 2 of the show sets up Invincible season 3 in a huge way. In season 2, fans get to see more of the Viltrumites as Mark finally gets to go toe-to-toe with a few of them. Most importantly, he faces off against Anissa, who beats him up easily and warns him that if he doesn't help with the Viltrum takeover, then he will be punished brutally.
Aside from that, Mark faces off against Angstrom Levy as well, who still craves revenge and is dead set on killing Invincible. However, when he threatens Mark's mom and infant brother, they engage in a fight that sees Mark kill Angstrom in an alternate dimension. There he meets with an older Eve who helps Mark get back to his world and tells him that he should be there for his Eve before it's too late.
The season ends with Allen the Alien infiltrating the Viltrumite ship by getting himself arrested and then he is met with Omni-Man, who is also a prisoner. Allen tells him that he will get him out of there, and the season ends with Omni-Man saying that he misses his wife.
What can fans expect from Invincible season 3?
In Invincible season 3, fans can expect a romance between Mark and Eve. Given that Invincible and Atom-Eve in the comics become a couple, fans can expect this to happen as season 2 already sets up this romance at the end. Alongside that, fans can also expect to see the return of Angstrom Levy as he isn't exactly dead yet, and rather comes back to life in the comics.
On the side of Omni-Man, fans can certainly expect him to escape the Viltrumite prison alongside Allen the Alien. Given that now even he has a bone to pick with the Viltrumites, he will surely be gunning to get revenge on them. But aside from that, fans can also expect to see Viltrumites further attack Mark.
