'Agatha All Along' introduced Joe Locke as Wiccan

The fifth episode of Agatha All Along premiered on October 9. The episode finally confirmed fans' much-anticipated suspicions that Joe Locke's character was the superhero known as Wiccan, whose real name was Billy Kaplan. The Marvel superhero is also the son of the MCU's Scarlet Witch, portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen

Up until the fifth episode of the show, titled Darkest Hour / Wake Thy Power, Locke's character was simply known as 'Teen.' A much younger version of the same character was portrayed in 2021's Wandavision by Julian Hilliard.

The final shot of the fifth episode saw Billy sporting a crown similar to the Scarlet Witch and looking directly into the camera while Billie Eilish's You Should See Me in a Crown played in the background.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, published on October 14, Locke revealed that he wasn't well-acquainted with the history of Billy Kaplan but was inundated with the character's comic book history after he took on the role. Regarding what the future might hold for his character, Joe Locke said:

"In my ideal world, Billy would become the next head of the Avengers and be in every Marvel thing ever, but there are higher things at play,"

He added:

"I had the most amazing experience filming on Agatha and being a part of the Marvel family and would love to do that until the day I die. But who knows? I don't. I'm sure someone does."

Agatha All Along is currently available to stream on Disney Plus. The sixth episode of the show, starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, will premiere on Wednesday, October 16.
