Superman & Lois season 4 episode 4: Major spoilers to expect

Superman & Lois season 4 episode 3 premiered on October 14, 2024, and it set up episode 4 of the show in a huge way. The episode saw the Kent family dealing with the death of Superman/Clark Kent while, at the same time, John Henry Irons and Natalie Irons were enlisted to be the new protectors of Smallville.

However, in Superman & Lois season 4 episode 3, with the threat of Doomsday still out there, Sam Lane must also find a solution to bring back the one man who can defeat him- Superman. For this, Sam Lane uses Superman's blood on himself and after sacrificing himself to Doomsday, his heart is transferred into Superman's which leads to the Man of Steel waking back up.

With Superman back now in Superman & Lois season 4, fans can certainly expect more of him going forward. Alongside that, fans can also expect to see him react to Jonathan getting his powers now. As both sons have their powers, the Kent family surely is never going to be the same again.

What can fans expect from Superman & Lois season 4 episode 4?

Superman's return to action

Fans can expect to see Superman back in the mix. In the first two episodes of season 4, the Man of Steel was killed by Doomsday in battle. The monster ripped out his heart and took his body back to Earth, where it dropped it in front of the Kents, who were heartbroken by the death of Clark, and then Doomsday delivered his heart to Lex Luthor, who kept it with him.

When Jordan tried to retrieve the heart, Luthor destroyed it, which confirmed the fact that Clark wouldn't be able to be revived. However, with Sam's heart being transferred into Superman and him coming back to life, the Man of Steel will finally be back in Smallville next week.

But fans shouldn't expect him to be at his full strength. After coming back to life in the comic books, Clark briefly uses the black suit to fuel his power from the sun. However, it remains unclear whether the show will introduce the black suit or not.

Jonathan and Jordan's conflict

Superman & Lois season 4 also introduced a conflict between Jonathan and Jordan. With Jordan failing to get his father's heart back, Jonathan blames him for his death. However, when Jonathan gets his powers, Jordan does seem a bit jealous of the situation as he gets more attention.

Not to mention, that Lois chose Jonathan over Jordan when Lex threatened them, which further created a conflict in his mind. So, going forward, fans can definitely expect a conflict to continue between Jonathan and Jordan.

With Clark's return, he will spend more time with Jonathan, teaching him how to use his powers, which can lead to Jordan getting further neglected.

Lex Luthor's plan

Fans can expect to see Lex Luthor continue with his plan of tormenting the Kent family in Superman & Lois season 4, however, it will also come with its own set of difficulties now. Given that Superman is back, he will certainly set his eyes on him again and send Doomsday after him once more to kill him off.

Alongside that, with Sam Lane dead now, finding his daughter just got much more difficult. So it remains to be seen what lengths he will go to in Superman & Lois season 4.
