Bobby Jandu is a dental surgeon based out of Brighton. He knew Simran Bhogal through his brother, JJ, whom Simran dated. Being a part of the Sikh community in England, their families were also well-connected. However, the doctor did not know or talk to Kirat Assi.
He became involved in the crime when Bhogal used Jandu's photos from his social media account and his name to talk to her cousin Kirat Assi, whom she befriended and pretended to fall in love with, all the while the real Jandu had no idea about what was happening.
Though Bobby was married to Sanj Jandu and shared a child with her, Bhogal also used these photos and made up a story that Sanj was his former partner and they mistakenly had a child together. The truth came out only after Bobby and Kirat met in real life.

Jandu only met Kirat properly for the first time when she showed up at his house claiming to be his girlfriend. He clarified to her that they had never talked and soon they discovered that Bobby's photos were used to deceive Kirat. He allegedly reached out to Simran for clarification.
When Simran broke down the events that took place, Bobby and Kirat realized the extent to which Simran had gone. Simran apologized to the doctor and asked him not to press charges but this did not stop Bobby from helping Kirat when she reported her cousin to the authorities.
