Who was Keller Fornes? County Rescue star passes away at the age of 32

County Rescue star Keller Fornes, 32, unexpectedly passed away on December 19, 2024. Notably, the circumstances leading to his demise have not been made official until now.

Fornes gained recognition over the years for being featured on TV shows and films such as The Walking Dead, Found, Project ISISX, and The Secrets She Keeps. He became popular for making independent films and was helped by his friends and family for the same, as per his obituary on Legacy.

The news of Keller Fornes' demise was first revealed by Great American Media through their social media handles on January 6, 2024. The posts featured a photo of Fornes and the caption stated:

"He was a special person and talent as an actor, writer, and director as well as a singer and musician. His energy and enthusiasm lifted all he worked with here at Great American Media and the cast and crew of County Rescue. Our prayers are with his family and all those he touched."

The obituary on Legacy also stated that Keller's memorial is scheduled to happen at the Cowboy Church of Erath County in Texas on January 11, 2025, at 4 p.m. The obituary requested everyone to visit Legacy's floral store if they were willing to send flowers to Fornes' family.


Keller Fornes became interested in acting and direction when he was in school

Keller was born on April 22, 1992, in Lubbock, Texas. In an interview with Voyage ATL Magazine in 2019, Keller said he was mostly involved with sports as a school student, including football. He revealed that he was in charge of the pep rally skit every week due to which he developed an interest in direction and acting.

"I would recruit friends from the team, from the band, from the staff, and even some of the parents to take part in our weekly sketches in front of the entire school."

Keller Fornes started working on his skills to become a director and actor after joining the University of North Texas. He said in the conversation that he trained himself in writing scripts and the process of pre-production. Keller later decided to move to Atlanta after working on a show titled #KillerPost since most of the cast and crew were residents of Georgia.

After arriving in Atlanta in 2016, he joined an agency due to which he was able to go for some auditions. However, he was rejected most of the time and he came to the Privilege Talent Agency after being referred by casting director Shannon Reis. While speaking to Voyage ATL Magazine, Keller Fornes also said:

"I began writing, directing, and editing short films when I was in middle school. I've directed all genres of short films, music videos, trailer, promotional ads, social media campaigns, and recently completed my first feature film in the form of a documentary about my late Grandfather, Buddy Fornes."

Keller addressed how his work is different, saying that he has a habit of taking a project and completing it in any possible way. He further stated that Atlanta is the best place for any actor, adding that everyone is helpful as they get together to complete any activity, leading to the creation of original content.

Keller Fornes is survived by his wife Margie, mother Kimberly Lynn, father Kobe Scott, brothers Charles and Kason Lynn, and grandparents Janey "Charlene" Fornes-Boucher, Cynthia Ann Turney, and Lynn Moore Turney.
