Calvin has been a menacing character

From the very beginning of Virgin River, Calvin has been a source of trouble in the lives of Jack and Mel. He used to run the local drug operation. Moreover, exploiting the rift between Jack and Brady, he inducted the latter into his illegal cannabis ring.

Calvin got significant screen time in Virgin River season 4 when the antagonism between him and Jack reached a crisis point. At the end of the season, he tried to flee the police, and his boat exploded. Thus, he was presumed dead.

However, season 5 of the show revealed that he had merely faked his death, and his sentence had been nullified since he helped the law enforcement authorities in helping identify and locate the others who ran the drug business.

Further, season 5 featured another shocking revelation regarding Calvin: he was the father of Charmaine’s twins. She kept this information secret because of Calvin’s poor reputation in the area.

Calvin is back in Virgin River season 6

The character returns in the series' latest season, and he is seen in his usual avatar. Charmaine has won the legal battle against him over the custody of the twins, which infuriates him.

Calvin confronts Jack and holds him responsible for having soured Charmaine against him. He also threatens him that he will go to any length to ensure that he gets to bring up his children as a father.

By the end of Virgin River season 6, Charmaine and her twins are found missing. This enigmatic disappearance begs the question if Calvin is involved in this. However, fans will have to wait till season 7 for the answer.
