6 Reasons why Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins won’t reunite in WWE again

A big sticking point on the road to WWE Survivor Series: WarGames has been filling out both teams. Bronson Reed willingly joined Solo Sikoa's team to give it perhaps one of the more formidable duos with Jacob Fatu already in the fold.

Jimmy Uso recruited Jey who then recruited Sami Zayn, while Roman Reigns hasn't tried to add members to his side. Jey and Sami were reluctant at first but eventually joined the OG Bloodline's WarGames squad.

Zayn, in turn, attempted to recruit a friend and ally in Seth Rollins but faced rejection. After this, Sami and The Usos tried to recruit The Visionary again, but he rebuked them both times. However, after getting pulled into the fray on RAW, and with Solo's Bloodline costing him the match about Bronson Reed will Rollins be forced to join sides with his one-time ally, Roman Reigns?

The two probably won't reunite in WWE and shouldn't for the next six reasons:

#6. Seth Rollins turned on The Shield

One big reason why Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will always be linked together is due to both of them starting out in The Shield, alongside Dean Ambrose. The trio took WWE by storm with each member eventually winning world titles.

Rollins is responsible for breaking up the popular group, but that's what happens when teams go as far as they can in wrestling. Roman Reigns has said many times he would never forgive Seth Rollins for what he did to them.

Since he's been reluctant to add someone like Sami Zayn, The Head of the Table won't want to ally with Rollins. The Architect feels the same way about teaming with his former stablemate.

#5. The Bloodline drama leading up to WrestleMania 40

The Bloodline story on the Road to WrestleMania 40 was the climax of the angle's first chapter. Reigns lorded over the entire roster and got whatever he wanted. He worked a part-time schedule and bullied the GMs.

The Usos won tag team gold. Reigns was Universal Champion for four years, and Undisputed Champion for two. To finally end the stranglehold The Head of the Table had over WWE, Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins joined forces to topple The Bloodline.

The Rock and Reigns won on Night One, but Rhodes did finally dethrone The Tribal Chief on Night Two. Rollins was one of many stars who interfered in the Bloodline Rules Match. Roman likely blames his former ally for playing a part in him losing the title.

#4. Seth Rollins feels responsible for creating The Tribal Chief

By ending The Shield before the entire group was ready to disband, Rollins set all three members on different paths. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins went on to win major titles. Reigns on the other hand was heavily pushed as the face of the company even if the fans didn't accept it initially.

It was only when Reigns emerged during the COVID pandemic as The Tribal Chief was when he displayed the best work of his WWE career. The Architect battled him halfway through his historic run and visibly shook The Tribal Chief.

With Reigns atop WWE for almost two more years, Rollins possibly feels responsible for the monster the former became. He doesn't want him to become powerful again by dispatching one of his greatest rivals. It's part of why Rollins is called The Visionary and The Architect.

#3. Possible jealousy of Roman Reigns always being pushed as WWE's top star

While both stars have won multiple major championships, Roman Reigns was pushed down the fans' throats even when they vocally rejected it. They booed when he won the 2015 Royal Rumble and as he repeatedly received one title shot after another.

Rollins came from the independent scene whereas Reigns came from college football and was partially signed because of his athleticism and familial connection to the Anoa'i clan.

Both achieved glory in WWE, but Rollins could be jealous of how the former Big Dog was booked as the face of the company. He didn't like playing second fiddle or Roman calling him his "little brother" to reflect that fact.

#2. It wouldn’t make sense to reunite The Shield without Dean Ambrose

Getting the band back together usually only works when all members can be included. Dean Ambrose is now wrestling in AEW as Jon Moxley. He's achieved great success and is the current AEW World Champion.

Evolution teamed up but without Ric Flair. Despite his omission, Batista, Randy Orton, and Triple H were still active. The Shield "reunited" briefly with The Game and Kurt Angle filling in as the third member.

For Rollins and Reigns to team together in WWE, they'd need Ambrose. Otherwise, it wouldn't be the same.

#1. They're both established as top stars of opposite brands

Both Reigns and Rollins are established as the top stars of their respective brands. It's partially why they have been kept apart since the 2016 brand split. Each performer has won multiple titles by themselves.

Joining up again would be mainly for nostalgia since they've each grown immensely since the days of The Shield. It wouldn't advance their careers but only the current angles.

They'll always be linked with each other due to their beginnings in WWE. Allying again will only likely lead to Rollins turning heel so as to garner even more sympathy for the fan-favorite Original Tribal Chief.
