WWE Monday Night RAW is set to air later tonight on the USA Network beginning at 8 PM EST. This is the second-to-last edition of RAW in 2024, and the second-to-last episode of the red brand to air on cable.

Beginning with the January 6, edition of Monday Night RAW, the program will air on Netflix. It is also seemingly set to return to the three-hour block, as opposed to the two hours it has been for several months. These changes will be huge, but they're still a few weeks away.

For now, Monday Night RAW tonight should make for an intriguing show. While the event was actually pre-taped and spoilers are available, not everything was shown to the live crowd. The Triple H regime typically keeps segments and vignettes exclusive to the television show to entice viewers to still tune in.

This article will take a look at four surprises that may take place on tonight's show. These would all be done either backstage or in vignettes and could include a new signing, a major jump to the brand, and beyond.

Below are four possible surprises for WWE RAW this week.

#4. Cody Rhodes could officially jump to the red brand

A new concept has been introduced to close out 2024. The WWE Transfer Window has been announced, which essentially means that stars from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT can be moved around to make each brand as strong as possible heading into 2025.

So far, one key move has been confirmed. Former WWE Universal Braun Strowman has moved from Monday Night RAW to Friday Night SmackDown. Beyond that, numerous stars have been seen meeting with the General Managers of each brand, but no other moves have been made official.

That could change in a backstage segment on RAW. Adam Pearce could reveal that he's pulled off the coup of a lifetime and that the red brand has acquired Cody Rhodes. This would give RAW a major star and a second world champion, potentially leaving SmackDown in shambles.

#3. A Becky Lynch video package could confirm her return for January 6

Becky Lynch is one of the greatest female performers in pro wrestling history. Her rise as 'The Man' was unlike anything women had previously experienced and she was a top star who even won in the main event of WrestleMania.

Sadly, The Man has been gone for quite some time. After losing her Women's World Title to Liv Morgan, Becky took a break from WWE. Now, many are hoping she will return in 2025, perhaps in time for a major upcoming show.

More specifically, Becky could potentially be back in time for the January 6 edition of RAW. If she is, a vignette could air on RAW tonight teasing her impending comeback. This would surely make more fans tune in for the Netflix premiere, which is a win for everyone involved.

#2. Adam Pearce could sign Trick Williams to WWE RAW

Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis are rivals. While Ava is also a WWE General Manager, it is Nick and Adam who seem to be constantly at each other's throats. They're also constantly struggling to sign top stars to their respective brand.

The competition often extends to NXT stars or new signings to WWE. For example, Aldis was quick to sign Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, and Jade Cargill to deals in the past. Meanwhile, Pearce was able to get The Creed Brothers and Ilja Dragunov, among others.

Come RAW tonight, Adam Pearce could reveal his latest NXT signing: Trick Williams. Williams has been included in promotional content for RAW's Netflix move, so it seems likely he'll be called up to the big show sooner rather than later. Why not announce it via a backstage contract signing tonight?

#1. CM Punk could tease AJ Lee's return after 3,556+ days

AJ Lee is a legend. She is a former Divas Champion who won the hearts of many WWE fans, be it through her geeky wrestling lover gimmick, her crazy character, or her spin on the CM Punk persona she used towards the end of her run with the company.

Unfortunately, the former champion hasn't been seen by WWE fans in a long time. She last competed in a ring for the biggest company on Earth 3,556+ days ago. Her final bout was a Six-Woman Tag Team Match on RAW where she united with Paige and Naomi to take on Natalya and The Bella Twins.

On RAW tonight, CM Punk could start teasing the return of his wife and wrestling legend. This could lead to AJ Lee appearing on the Netflix premiere, or perhaps more interestingly, as an entrant in the 2025 Women's Royal Rumble Match.
