In WWE history, fans have glimpsed the break-up of many favored alliances and record-breaking tag teams. However, based on recent plots, it seems like former WWE Tag Team Champions, The New Day, might be heading in the same direction.

There have already been significant hints suggesting that a heel turn by Xavier Woods is imminent, and he might soon betray Kofi Kingston. Amid this, speculation has surfaced online indicating that Woods' storyline is expected to continue on Monday Night RAW until November 25, 2024, or December 2, 2024.

The reason behind these dates is that the tenth anniversary of The New Day falls between these two RAW episodes, on November 28, 2024. This marks the day The New Day officially debuted as a faction during an episode of SmackDown. Given the significance of these RAW episodes, WWE will likely choose one of them to execute Xavier Woods’ full heel turn and the official breakup of The New Day.

The New Day is undoubtedly one of the most decorated tag teams in the history of the Stamford-based promotion. Together, they have set numerous records and delivered countless memorable moments and matches that fans will never forget. Despite this, the potential singles direction for both Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston is intriguing, especially considering Kofi’s successful run during the "KofiMania" period as a singles star.

The WWE Universe could see a similar rise for Woods once The New Day officially breaks up, or perhaps both stars will shine individually after parting ways.

Only one thing can save the former WWE Tag Team Champions from breaking up

The only potential way to save the former tag team champions, The New Day, from breaking up is the return of Big E to WWE. It has been a long time since Big E appeared on television as an in-ring performer. Nowadays, the New Day member is part of WWE’s panels during the kickoff shows of premium live events.

However, recent reports suggest that Big E could return to the Stamford-based promotion with a major objective: Reuniting Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. All plans depend on his medical clearance, and there is still no confirmation on whether Big E will compete in the squared circle again, even if he does reunite the New Day.

Nevertheless, a return from the 38-year-old star would undoubtedly be a huge moment for fans, especially if it leads to reuniting the New Day, who are currently on the verge of breaking up.

This appears to be the only way to prevent Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods from ending their partnership on WWE RAW.
