36-year-old star set to challenge WWE champion next, feels Tommy Dreamer

WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams has been on an incredible run with the title on his shoulder. The star has turned out to be a massive attraction for NXT, and could be next in line to make a name for himself on the main roster. However, the champion got pinned by a 36-year-old star recently.

The star in question is Ridge Holland, who pinned him during this week's episode of NXT to pick a win against the champion and WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray in a tag team match. While the surprising victory caught everyone's attention, Williams was left furious in a backstage segment later on.

In a recent edition of the Busted Open Podcast, Tommy Dreamer addressed the main event of NXT and stated that WWE is continuing to elevate Ridge Holland to a whole new level. The legend stated that the story was moving forward and that we would see Ridge Holland vs. Trick Williams soon.
