Tiffany Stratton looks like she has had more "close" cash-in moments than any previous Money in the Bank holder in recent history. Her cash-in attempt tonight was stopped by a 39-year-old star, who was pinned as a direct result of it. This time, it was her own teammate, Candice LeRae who foiled her plans.
This week on SmackDown, the show opened with a six-woman tag team match as Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Bayley teamed up to face the trio of Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae. There were tensions over the Jade Cargill attack, with Jax continuously insisting that none of them were behind it while accusing Belair of faking her concern and being the one responsible.
Either way, during the match, Tiffany Stratton had an opportune moment to cash in and it looked like she was handing her briefcase to the referee, but the 39-year-old Candice LeRae stopped her by tugging the briefcase - a moment that directly led to her getting pinned.
The relationship between Nia Jax and Stratton has been strained severely. While there were tensions that existed even before when Stratton initially held the Money in the Bank briefcase, it worsened after the arrival of Candice LeRae to Jax's side.
This week when Nia Jax was defending herself, Candice LeRae, and Stratton and absolving each other of any guilt regarding the Jade Cargill attack, she took a major shot at Ms. Money in the Bank, saying "Tiffy couldn't even help us win the tag titles last week," before asking how she could possibly have been behind the attack on Cargill.
Things are taking an interesting turn in the women's division on SmackDown.
