6-time WWE champion reveals Liv Morgan supported her when she had real-life health issues
Liv Morgan has recently been credited by another WWE Superstar for constantly supporting her during her health struggles earlier this year. The star in question, Raquel Rodriguez, revealed that the reigning Women's World Champion helped her a lot during her absence in the Stamford-based company. The 33-year-old was suffering from Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, which led to a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Rodriguez, who is a six-time WWE champion, opened up on her situation in an interview with WrestleRant Radio, admitting that she feared not being able to wrestle ever again. She added that Liv Morgan helped keep her spirits up and was there for her every day.
"So, I did have those thoughts (about not being able to return) running through my mind quite a bit, but I’m really, really grateful to my sister, Liv (Morgan), who never stopped being there for me throughout any of the days. She messaged me, she checked up on me, even when she was dealing with her arm injury and having all the stress of her coming back and her wrestling Rhea and winning the Women’s World Title, it was a lot on her plate," Raquel Rodriguez said. The 33-year-old star went on:
"To know that she had all of that going on and still had the time to think about me, to reach out to me, to send me things, it made me feel like I found someone absolutely loyal to me and who’s willing to be there for me."
Raquel Rodriguez returned to WWE as Liv Morgan's bodyguard
Raquel Rodriguez returned at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event in October 2024 and attacked Rhea Ripley, ensuring Liv Morgan retained her Women's World Championship. The former NXT Women's Champion is now a part of The Judgment Day alongside Liv, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Carlito.
That was her plan all along, as Rodriguez made it clear during the same interview that she would repay Morgan's loyalty upon her WWE return. That's exactly what happened:
"That turned the page in my head. I thought, when I do get healthy again, because I know I’m gonna get healthy again, when I do step back into that ring, that is one person I’m going to support 110%. Coming back, there was no question about what side I was going to be on. It was always going to be Liv Morgan’s side."
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez will go into battle at the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 Premium Live Event alongside Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae. The heels will face the team of Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Bayley, Naomi, and IYO SKY in the Women's WarGames Match.
