Booker T has a deep history with The Bloodline. The multi-time World Champion battled The Rock, teamed up with and faced off against Rikishi, and even teamed with the late Umaga. As Booker prepares for his big in-ring return, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer has just fired a vicious shot at a certain real-life Bloodline member.
The Master of the Spin-a-Roonie ended his 33-year active career by retiring in late January 2023 after a surprise Royal Rumble appearance. Booker's last WWE match before that came in April 2012, but he worked a handful of matches in the lead-up to the 2023 Royal Rumble, mainly for the Reality of Wrestling promotion he initially launched in 2005 but re-branded in 2012.
Booker confirmed this past weekend that he will return to the ring at ROW's Battle to the Bell event on Saturday, January 11, from Walker Texas Lawyer Arena in Texas City, TX. He will wrestle Zilla Fatu, the 25-year-old son of the late Umaga, aka Eddie Fatu. Booker and ROW helped the fourth-generation grappler get his career started in 2022.
The Samoan King took to X today to release a new promo video for the match with Booker. The rising Anoa'i family member taunted the former Harlem Heat member by signing the post with his new Legend Killer nickname.
"1-11-25 ….. #LEGENDKILLER," Zilla Fatu wrote with the video below.
Booker T then responded and issued a cold warning to Fatu. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer promised to embarrass the young real-life Bloodline member with a spanking.
"I’m gonna spank this kid like a little baby! Reality of Wrestling 1-11-25," Booker T wrote.
Fatu's 126-day reign as ROW Champion came to an end in mid-December, the same weekend he became the inaugural 4th Rope Heavyweight Champion. Zilla has held the HOG Crown Jewel Championship for more than 150 days.
The Bloodline continues to be one of the hottest and most successful storylines in pro wrestling. Roman Reigns officially formed the faction in 2021, but the history of the Anoa'i family in WWE goes back decades.
The Anoa'i family will finally acknowledge its true Tribal Chief on January 6 during the RAW Netflix premiere in Los Angeles. Reigns will battle Solo Sikoa in a high-stakes Tribal Combat match. The Ula Fala will be on the line, which Solo is currently in possession of, and the family will recognize the winner as Tribal Chief.
The first RAW of 2025 will mark the second-ever Tribal Combat match in WWE. The first saw Reigns defeat Jey Uso at SummerSlam 2023.
