CM Punk joining the OG Bloodline is leading to another high-profile match, analyst says

CM Punk and Paul Heyman returned on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, immediately siding with the OG Bloodline. This came after the four-member crew offered the fifth spot inside WarGames to a wide array of talents, including Seth Rollins.

Although his answer was loud and clear, this out-of-left-field angle will surely trigger Rollins, judging by the former World Heavyweight Champion's disdain for Punk. Analyst Sam Roberts noted how it could make him throw a tantrum as The Best in the World is again stealing the spotlight. With Bronson Reed joining Solo Sikoa's team, many expected The Visionary to set aside his differences with the OTC ultimately.

Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts stated that while Seth Rollins obviously does not want Roman Reigns to succeed, the fact that The Second City Saint has taken his spot will not sit well with him. Roberts reminded the same thing that happened last year when The Straight Edge Superstar showed up during the closing moments of the premium live event, nearly a decade after leaving WWE acrimoniously.

"And if CM Punk helps [the OG Bloodline] win? How do you end WarGames now? WarGames last year ended with Seth Rollins's team winning, and CM Punk taking that moment away. Nobody remembers the finish of last year's WarGames match. No one. Everybody remembers what happened directly after the match. CM Punk returns, and Seth Rollins curses him out." Sam Roberts feels that Punk and Reigns are the two people Rollins hates with a passion. So, if The Best in the World is helping the OTC get back in power, it will give The Visionary all the more reasons to dislike the returning WWE Superstar. Furthermore, their showdown appears to be drawing near.

Is CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 41 the end game?

After CM Punk left his future ambiguous on WWE RAW in October following his Hell in a Cell match with Drew McIntyre, all signs pointed to Seth Rollins as his next opponent. The bout was reported as being planned for WrestleMania 41.

The Visionary may have refused Sami Zayn's offer a few weeks ago, but that was before Bronson Reed defeated him with help from The Bloodline this past Monday on RAW. Where does this leave Seth Rollins? He has unresolved issues with Reed, Punk, and Reigns ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames next weekend in Canada.
