Former WWE Superstar Baron Corbin, aka Thomas Pestock, has secured the second spot in the IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship. The former United States Champion seemed a bit upset about not being able to bag the gold medal.
Corbin's 12-year WWE run came to an end a while ago. His release came as a shock to his ardent fans who had high hopes for him following his incredible run in NXT.
The Lone Wolf recently competed in the IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Tampa, Florida. He bagged the second spot and shared a video on his X/Twitter handle shortly after, stating that he would try to win gold next time:
"2nd place unfortunately at IBJJF Tampa. Lost on points in the finals I’ve got open next to try and get gold!"

Baron Corbin had his fair share of hits and misses in WWE. His short-lived storyline with WWE Hall of Famer JBL did not work at all and was scrapped soon after. In an interview on The Takedown on SI, The Lone Wolf opened up about the same. Check out his comments below:
"I wanted John to be able to, like, decapitate a few people, and it was, you know, it’s a process of getting him back in the ring and getting him doing that. He kind of just became like a mouthpiece for me, an introduction, you know, kind of thing, where he would get the crowd all riled up for me. But I think we all, kind of, just wanted a little bit more from that and it just didn’t click. I mean… I’ll take the fall for it. I’m happy to do that because JBL’s one of the greatest of all time, especially one of the greatest heels of all time, and sometimes things just don’t click." [H/T WrestlingINC]
As for his future as a wrestler, only time will tell what the 40-year-old has in store for his fans.
