Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently fired shots at Seth Rollins after his appearance on RAW this past week. The star was in a Fatal Four-Way to determine the next challenger for the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.
Rollins squared off against Damian Priest, Sheamus, and Dominik Mysterio to become the next number-one contender. However, Bronson Reed suddenly appeared and hit successive Tsunamis on Priest and Sheamus. He then smashed Rollins through the announce table with another Tsunami, effectively costing him the match. Damian won the encounter as he finally gathered the strength to pin Dom after a South of Heaven Chokeslam.
This week on The Brand, Russo mentioned that Rollins didn't sell any of the wear and tear from his battle with Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel. He pointed out that despite the announcers emphasizing that Seth was not at a hundred percent, he came out looking fresh and showed no signs of fatigue from his previous match. The veteran writer felt Seth's actions undermined the narrative and showed that he was completely clueless.
"It blows my find how freaking clueless Seth Rollins is. It blows my mind. So, he has the match with Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel. Before he even comes out for the main event, which is a four-way, the announcers are selling, 'Seth Rollins isn't a hundred percent, Seth shouldn't even be out there, the war he endured last night with Bronson Reed.'"
Russo continued:
"All that is great, because what are we doing? We're giving the babyface his out. (...) What does he do? Comes dancing down the aisle, slapping everybody's hands, as fresh as a daisy. Then he get in the ring and thematch starts. They're saying the same exact thing throughout the whole match. He is selling nothing, nothing, zero, to the point that he even does the dive through the second rope." [From 0:27 - 1:52]
Despite a win at Crown Jewel, Monday night's events proved that Seth Rollins still needs to take care of his unfinished business with "Big" Bronson Reed.
After three successive Stomps to Reed, Seth claimed victory at the premium live event. After the match, as Rollins limped back to the entranceway, Reed got up, shaking off the after-effects of the stomps. The intimidating superstar then got back to his feet and signaled to Rollins that they were not finished and that he would be back for more carnage down the line.
It will be interesting to see what Seth Rollins has to do to get rid of the monstrous Reed once and for all.
