A WWE veteran recently predicted the finish of the upcoming Men's Royal Rumble match. He suggested two massive legends could have one more face-off.
The 2025 WWE Royal Rumble is set to take place on February 1st at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Several top superstars, including Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk, are rumored to compete in the Men's Royal Rumble match. Some also expect multiple legends, including John Cena and The Rock, to participate.
On the Behind The Turnbuckle podcast, wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman predicted that The Final Boss would be around more in WWE. He claimed he and Cena could be the last two standing in the upcoming Men's Royal Rumble match. The two legends, who have exchanged victories at WrestleMania, had a face-off earlier this year at The Show of Shows during Cody Rhodes' match against Roman Reigns. Their confrontation ended with The Rock delivering a Rock Bottom to the 16-time World Champion:
"I think The Rock will be back more. That's what I think. Why would you have Cena and Rock standing there just like Rock and Hogan did at the end of WrestleMania 18? For the right to win the Royal Rumble match and then have that guaranteed title shot at WrestleMania. Wouldn't that be an amazing ending?" The Coach said. [From 10:59 to 11:19]
On a recent episode of the Keepin' It 100 podcast, veteran journalist Dave Meltzer discussed the possibility of The Rock returning to win the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble.
The wrestling journalist revealed that people in the company previously discussed the same idea with him when The Final Boss initially returned to go after his cousin Roman Reigns earlier this year. Meltzer pointed out that the decision would be in the hands of The Rock himself:
"The ultimate idea is Dwayne comes in and wins the Rumble and earns his title shot, you know. I mean, that was like, but does he want to do that? So, that's up to Dwayne. If Dwayne wants to win the Rumble, he's gonna win the Rumble. So, I guess that's an answer is if Dwayne wants to it will be him a 100%," he said.
WWE analyst Sam Roberts recently claimed the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble has the potential to become the most star-studded in the company's history. It would be interesting to see who would overcome 29 other superstars to reserve his spot in the main event of WrestleMania 41.
