Former WWE star shares feel-good story about Kurt Angle helping him achieve his childhood dream (Exclusive)
Kurt Angle is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable names in WWE history. Apart from being talented in the business, he was also very helpful to his co-performers, judging by the words of another name, EC3.
In late 2006, Kurt Angle was seen leaving WWE to work with TNA, owing to several reasons, including work schedule constraints. His run in TNA solidified his skill both inside the ring and on the mic, proving that he was a megastar worth watching out for. During this run, he became the world champion six times.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 noted how he had a world title match with Kurt, which the latter had lost after an epic fight.
"I've said this before, but when I was a kid, someone would ask me, 'Hey man, what's your dream match? You wanna do this pro-wrestling so bad?' I am like, I wanna wrestle Kurt Angle for a World Title. Then they laughed at me. But guess what? I did. And I won." [7:20 onwards]

Kurt Angle recently talked about his second run in WWE
Despite being a legend in his own right, Kurt Angle apparently feels he wasn't respected in Vince McMahon's roster during his second run.
In an episode of Notsam Wrestling, Kurt claimed that his TNA run and sudden departure in 2006 had affected his standing with the Stamford-based promotion. He said:
"I just felt that my second time in WWE, I wasn't so much appreciated. I think it has a lot to do with me leaving the company high and dry in 2006 and going straight to TNA. I was supposed to go back to WWE in six months. Vince [McMahon] wanted me to take six months off and come back. So literally, when I left his office and I quit, I called TNA and got a contract that day," he said.
As of now, Kurt Angle is retired and will possibly only make sporadic appearances.
