WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has analyzed the work of many up-and-coming superstars over the years. He recently opened up about a former WWE champion’s growth in the company.
Ridge Holland moved to the NXT brand late last year and continued to terrorize and destroy major superstars. He found a place in Andre Chase’s Chase U and won his first WWE title with the faction. On the November 19 episode of NXT, he defeated Andre Chase to disband the hugely popular faction. He also earned a shot at Trick William’s NXT Championship with the win.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Mark Henry analyzed Ridge Holland’s recent work on the brand. He noted that the former NXT Tag Team Champion had improved his mic skills and become more confident as a performer.
"I think the number one thing is his confidence. A lot of times in pro wrestling, if you don't believe in you, how do you expect somebody else to?" Henry pointed out. "He's found his footing. He always looked the part, but he always looked kind of like self-conscious about either how he was looking or how he was sounding." [H/T Wrestling Inc.]
Henry noted that Ridge Holland has improved overall and shook that doubt to become a successful name in NXT. He has had several good matches, including one that involved Hall of Famer Bully Ray.
Seth Rollins was clear in his stance against joining Roman Reigns’ team for WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. Meanwhile, his arch-enemy Bronson Reed joined Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline for the WarGames match.
To rub salt in the wound, his long-term rival CM Punk decided to join Reigns’ team as a favor to Paul Heyman. Mark Henry believes Seth Rollins will show up doing the men’s WarGames match to attack Punk and cost Reigns’ team.
"I'm just thinking that Seth Rollins interferes somehow. I just got this guttural feeling that Seth is going to take it upon himself to inflict some pain on [CM] Punk, and he's going to cost them," the WWE Hall of Famer said.
It’d be interesting to see how things work out for Roman Reigns and his team at WarGames. Seth Rollins could start some more rivalries in the coming weeks. He could come out to attack Bronson Reed during the contest, getting on Punk and Reigns' nerves and costing them the match.
