WWE legend Hulk Hogan recently made headlines after his surprise appearance on RAW, which did not seem to go quite as planned. However, Hall of Famer Teddy Long thinks he has nothing to apologize for.

Hogan is undeniably one of the greatest names in WWE history. As such, it is expected that any surprise appearance from him would generate hype among fans. However, he got greeted with boos after he made his entrance on RAW's first ever Netflix episode.

Amidst speculation about Hogan's political choices being a factor behind the reception, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long stated on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis:

"Politics is really playing a lot, you know, in what's going on in our country right now. So, if I was Hogan, there's no apology. You shouldn't apologize to anybody, because you didn't do anything. You just gotta watch what you do and watch who you associate with now and what you say. 'Cause I mean somebody will take one little thing and they will twist that brother, and next thing you know, it will be a movie." [8:11 onwards]

A former WWE star had a similar opinion about the incident

According to ex-WWE star EC3, the reason for Hulk Hogan's less than warm welcome could definitely be political.

Speaking on an episode of UnSKripted, the EC3 stated:

"I think it's the cavalcade of things all boiling up being over, and one thing you have to recognize, though, if you are gonna dabble in the hellish landscape that is the political arena, you are going to turn yourself into a patsy for the reactions you are going to get depending on who you are around and where you are at. So, it's like you enter that arena, you have to expect that's gonna happen," the veteran noted. [7:35 onwards]

It remains to be seen what Hulk Hogan plans to do next.
